Hi,
is it possible to import a vb 3.8.7 database into a vb3.8.7 database using impex? I am going for a fresh installation and want a fresh database also... Is it possible? |

I'm not sure what you mean by fresh database. Are you trying to merge two databases?

If you want to import the data from an existing (bigger) vBulletin 3.8.7 into that database, then your "new" installation is not fresh. Or are you going to strip off any data (files and database tables/fields) from additional products you may have installed? |

if its a fresh new installation, why not try it and see if it works. if it doesn't, delete the fresh installed vbulletin, re-upload and convert/import the old database to ip.boards first, then use impex to import from nul ip.boards to vbulletin 3.
then you will have your fresh database with users/posts without ^^ mods and hacks etc which makes a database not fresh which im guessing is in the old database which will not get imported. |
