Should you disable or uninstall mods that you dont use?
Not sure if uninstalling them would screw something up...

In general it's OK to uninstall them. You should look at the mod thread or any instructions that came with the mod and see if it says anything about uninstalling, or follow the installation instructions in reverse if it doesn't (for example, if it says to upload files to install a mod, then it's probably a good idea to delete them from your server if you uninstall it).
If you plan to use a mod again, that might be a different story. If the mod saves data in the database then you might want to disable it instead of uninstalling so that you don't lose that data. |

To add to what Kevin said, it is a good idea to remove any modification files from your site that you aren't using. If that modification has a security problem, for instance, you don't want to have the file still on your site and allow some hackers to use the security issue in the file to hack your site.

Also another good idea is any mods you do have installed, make sure you mark them as installed on here.
What does 'Marking As Installed' do ? * It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified whenever new updates are available. * For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention. |

Thanks. The mods I uninstalled only came with an .xml file. Do I need to do anything outside of uninstalling it via the Admincp, with just the .xml file upload with the initial install?
