Is anyone else getting emails from "vBRewrite Sales" with subject line: Notice About vBulletin 5 SEO Software? I get the same email at a steady rate of 40 per hour.
I didn't get any spamy email. Rather a direct pm. Lets not try to bash something just because it is new.
We all know how Vbseo started with the mass emails. I received one too back in the days from Vbseo, that is how i found out about it. I am sure if it is an error spam, he will take care of it.
I don't think it is a member of vB Staff sending out the emails.
It could be someone w/ a mailing list from vBSEO or a hacked site, only way they could get your email addy unless just blindly/randomly sending them but sure is odd a few vB owners received them... coincidence?! I think not!
Edit: Actually see Katie's reply above ^ it could also be this person is very dedicated to promoting their product and is finding email addy's legitimately.
I received almost 100 copies of this e-mail in the last two days. Many (up to few dozen) e-mail addresses are included in each e-mail.
40 emails, now 100 ? The numbers doesn't add up here right. No one will send a 100 email of the same email, especially in email marketing. Unless the scrip he is running is stuck in a loop or something, still hard to believe 100 of the same email to the same person.
Can you share a copy of one of the 100's email you received?
