Cut/Paste New Thread Format??
Hi all - Got a question on "cutting and pasting" when starting a new thread or response. For some reason when I cut/paste something from a website or my website to the forum (4.2.2) the format does NOT stay from the original content.
For example -- certain works are bold or italic - on the forum when I paste it, that is gone. Do I need to change the default editor to something? What am I missing? Thanks! |

If you were using vb3 before and now vb4, there are differences in functionality, because they use two different editors.
In vb3 you could just cut and paste and it would silently copy the BBCODES -- even if you were in 'editor' mode. In vb4 you must be in 'source' mode in order to paste BBCODES. Anyway, that is what I have observed, maybe there is another trick that I do not know about. Oh yeah, do what @Ozzy47 suggested, that will help too. |

Thanks guys -- I may have it narrowed down to "usergroups" and settings. As an ADMIN I can post anything that's cut and paste and it will hold the format. As a "USER" I can't.
I'm gonna flip through those parameters now and see what's up. IT's a fresh 4.2.2 install. Thanks! I'll update if I find it. --------------- Added [DATE]1384907252[/DATE] at [TIME]1384907252[/TIME] --------------- No dice. Maybe it's in the individual account editor settings ? --------------- Added [DATE]1384907379[/DATE] at [TIME]1384907379[/TIME] --------------- Yup - was individual set. I'll have to make full enhanced the standard for all new registering users. Thanks for any input all. |
