Default Need help creating redirects

Hi, as you know, VBSEO is no longer a reliable choice for search engine optimization. So, I decided to uninstall it and use vBulletin 4's own SEO engine.

I've decided to redirect old VBSEO links but vbseo.com doesn't respond, they're offline because of database issues and I'm not sure they'll go online again.

So, my problem is this:

1) I want to redirect

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/154-a/35830-air.html

to

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/showthread.php?35830-Air

2) I want to redirect

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/154-a/

to

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/forumdisplay.php?154-A

What should I add to my .htaccess file to redirect showthread and forumdisplay links to redirect correctly to new ones?

Thank you very much.

There's been quite a few of these types of questions asking for url redirects after moving from vbseo. My advice to you, is if you want to stop using it, wait until dbseo is released to uninstall vbseo. According to dbtech, dbseo will have these kinds of redirects when leaving vbseo.

Hey guys,

Iain from DragonByte Technologies Ltd here. As some of you may have heard, we have an SEO product in testing, and we're looking for closed beta testers.

DBSEO is compatible with the latest version of vBulletin 4, is fully capable of converting vBSEO rules and delivers optimization based on the current best SEO practices.

The development is an agile one, with features still being regularly added during testing. Beta tester feedback/requests are taken into consideration in terms of adding new features.

The reasoning behind the agile development is pretty simple; with something like SEO it's important to get baseline measurements for what kind of difference in both search rankings and performance the core product makes.

The current product is what we consider the core product. It has feature parity with vBSEO, except in some instances where features that are either no longer helpful, or are actively harmful due to changes in search ranking algorithms, have been removed.

Testing so far has shown a significant performance increase over vBSEO, and a small improvement in search engine rankings, though this change is over too short a time period and too few users to be statistically significant.

There are several planned features that, to the best of my knowledge, no other SEO solution can provide. Here is a taste:

URL Rewrite Rule History
This will allow you to change URL Rewrite Rules without losing any ranking as old rewritten URLs will seamlessly redirect.

Persistent SEO Titles
Every generated URL will be stored and editable, freeing you from the constraint of existing rewrite rules if you wish to customise a particular URL for a particular piece of content.

Content-Aware SEO Titles
SEO titles for certain pieces of content such as blogs and posts will use preferred keywords in the content to generate its titles, rather than simply basing off the thread titles.

So, onto the testing! As a closed beta tester you will have direct access to the lead developer to give your feedback on the performance, usability and any other aspects of the software you see fit. Active beta testers will also receive a 50% discount on a license when the product is released. The price for beta testers upon retail release is likely to be between $50 and $100 for a license, depending on he license length. Please only apply if you intend to purchase the product at the end of the closed beta period; assuming you are happy with it, of course.

Obviously beta products will contain bugs and errors, and you should only apply if you are comfortable with the possibility of that occurring. We obviously can't accept any liability for any problems caused by the software. So far none of our testing has shown any show stopping errors, and we run the beta on our site, www.dragonbyte-tech.com, so you can tell we're confident that it is ready for live sites.

To apply to be a closed beta tester, either drop me a PM here on TAZ, or shoot an email to us at dbtech@dragonbyte-tech dot com with the header DBSEO Beta. In the PM/Email let us know if you have used, or currently use any DragonByte Tech products, if you are a current or former customer, and if you are a current or former vBSEO user, as well as the URL of the site you intend to install DBSEO on.

If you have any questions about DBSEO, the beta test or anything related, feel free to ask here.

Thanks for your time,

Iain Kidd

Thank you final kaoss.

DBSEO may be a good choice but I've already uninstalled it and don't want to use another SEO software other than vBulletin's native.

So, my question's still active.

Anyone please?

At least, if anyone has Mert G?k?eimam's post about this matter on VBSEO's blog can be helpful.

Actually, I've got a question.

1) I want to redirect

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/154-a/35830-air.html

to

http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/showthread.php?35830-Air

and created a code like this:
Code:
RewriteRule ([0-9]+)-[^/]+/([0-9]+)/$-[^/]+\.html http://www.dipsizkuyu.net/showthread.php?t=$1 [L,R=301]
What did I do wrong? Can someone please help me?
