I started two new usergroups; VIP and Site Supporter.

When they log in they show up as 'Staff Member". Why?

I saw no such setting when the usergroup was being created?

Are you sure that is not in the field, User Title for those groups?

User titles are blank.

I was talking about in the "What's going on" section at the bottom of the forum. They show up as "Staff" there when they log on....

Ahhh, edit the groups, and in the block titled, Usergroup Options, set Viewable on Show Groups to No.
