Can navbar display on pages outside of VB?
Wed 26 Jun 2013, 12:06 pm
Hi, I'm not technical, so please excuse the awkwardly composed question. I have VB 4.2. If I get someone who knows php to help me, is it a relatively simple project to make the navbar display "live" on pages outside of vBulletin? The VB navbar is so user-friendly and easy to configure for a non-techie, I would like it to display on pages outside of vBulletin so that when I make a change to it in vBulletin, those changes are "live" on the other pages it displays in as well. Know what I mean? Thanks for your help. Rex Khon Kaen, Thailand http://www.MindBodyThailand.net/ |

This article probably has all the info you need: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=228112 but please ask if you still have questions.

Hey kh99, Thanks v. much for the reply. The hack you pointed me to is way outside of my skill set. But that's OK, it is a starting point, I can give it to whomever is helping me with this. I wonder, however, if "Create your own vBulletin page" is addressing my question. Here is my VB with typical navbar. http://www.mindbodythailand.net Here is a business directory script we have running on another page http://directory.mindbodythailand.net/ I want the same banner and navbar from VB on the biz directory. Will the MOD accomplish this or are we talking about different things? Is this something a coder can do in an hour? Thanks again for your help. Rex |

The page I linked to is not exactly a mod, but is an article explaining how to program your own pages to "add on" to vbulletin. If I understood you correctly you already have an php script and you want to add the vbulletin navbar. That is not exactly what the article describes, but it does show the code you would need to add the navbar to a php script. I think a programmer familiar with vbulletin should be able to do what you want. I'm not 100% sure about the time. It could possibly be done in 1 hour if everything went smoothly, but if problems arise I could see it taking longer.
