vb5 editor for vb4 possible?
I like the style, simplicity of the vbulletin 5 editor with the 5 large icons and click to open sub-options per 5. They did a great job design wise on this and intuitiveness.
Is there a way to integrate this editor in the vb4, replacing the cluttered wysiwyg ckeditor? |

Its the same editor as vB4, but it has a different skin, and a newer version.

For the heck of it, I half implemented ckeditor4 on a development station just to see how it would integrate if I chose to go that route: at a much future date. I am still working on updating all the vb extended features code, it is not a big priority. If vbulletin 5 is not using it, it will now be even less of a priority. I am not to anxious to run unproven code. |

vB4 uses ckeditor 3.x, vb5 uses ckeditor 4.1.x

Zachery thanks. Do you think the latest ckeditor 4.1x would work with vbulletin 4.2 without hiccups?

No, there is a ton of custom work done to make things work with vB4

Ok Thanks. Do you know at least how to disable all the table related bbcode/icons? Basically entire 3rd row (except keep the 2 custom bbcode icons I have which end up last in 3rd row). I want to simplify this into 1 or 2 rows basically.

Take a look at the ckeditor plugins that handle tables.
