Private MMO Game Site
Hello friends,
I am running vBulletin 3.8.7 PL3 and its a private site about MMO players where they can meet, greet, and share experiences as well as strategies, etc. http://forum.guildforums.net/ I was wanting some advice if you may share of it. First of all, I have a three step process of getting an account on the board since its private:
My fear is the third step that may confuse people. Basically they are given a specific forum to start a thread and they need to fill out a format I designated to them them so they can get approved by the administration staff. Also the reasoning why I am also doing this is to completely stop spam bots in dead tracks before they can post any explicit or bad material on my site. Secondly, the theme seems a little gotty, the logo I made myself, the background is changed to a wallpaper from Guild Wars 2. Finally, if there is any advice or anything, please be sure to share, I appreciate it! Thanks! |

Please get someone to put together a nice style for you.
DITCH the weird registration requirements. What could you possibly have to hide? |

Find a better style, it doesn't work for your site.

Registration appeal is there for the 3rd line of defence against spam bots. Anyone can be apart of the community. Its kept a secret hideout so people can feel special. Nothing to really hide, just to nake it feel unique. I night just let people see the forums but not the threads as guests. Quote:
