Calendar Picker Problem - When the mouse pointer is hovering over list of calandars

I have created more than one calendar and modified the default calendar name by adding the words "Main Calendar (Birthdays Only) and then created a small number of other calendar's that the user could add a new event in because I only want members birthdays to show up in the Main Calendar which would be the default calendar.

The problem is simple when you so when the mouse pointer is hovering, and I try to select something other than the default the list seems collapse when I try to make a selection and even leaving it closes up on me. I have been able to get around this problem is with the mouse pointer on the Calendar I can press the tab key on the key board and then tab though the list of calendar and must select the enter key on the key board than the correct selected calendar comes up.

But if you try to select the same with the mouse pointer you cannot select and the list closes with the first item still selected it makes things very hard for the user to make a selection other than the default.

I have been able to use my mouse and click on the Calendar Picker and drag the default down into the on to the other listed calendars I am able to make a selection this is a little bit strange any other ideas of how to make things easier here ?
