Anyone remember this mod?
I can't be certain but I vaguely recall seeing a mod some time ago that forced new users to post in a certain area before they could access the rest of the forum. This might not be exactly what it did but it was something like that.
The reason I ask is because I want new users to make their very first post in a sub forum for introducing yourself before they can post in the rest of the forum. I'd like to do this automatically without any sort of manual intervention like moderating posts or the like. Can anyone tell me if something like that exists? Thanks. |

Why not just set it up in your usergroups and promotions, so say usergroup registered users can SEE all forums but can onlyPOST in the forum you set them to be able to, then set promotions to check for a post count greater than 1 and PROMOTE them to a new usergroup that can see and post in all other forums of your choice.
No mods needed! |

You will need to verify that the posts is not spam before you upgrade them first.
