Recommended hosting for VB5?
I have been stuck on an older version (5.0) of VB for some time now because GoDaddy refuses to upgrade their MySQL. I was looking around for a good replacement host, but don't like the way a lot of these hosting companies have gimmicky advertising and force you to buy a minimum of 12 months. With GoDaddy I can pay monthly.
Does anyone have any recommendations for hosting that has MySQL versions that work with the current VB5 version? |

Almost any reputable webhost will offer monthly payment options.

I tried to sign up with hostgator and bluehost and they make you buy a minimum of a year hosting, then they bill you monthly.

They're not the cheapest in the world but they are very reasonably priced and are recognized as having some of the best/quickest support |

I recommended ASO because they're very upfront with what they give you on their services. Their customer support has been good to me.

Take a look at http://www.ramnode.com/ I don't use them because they only have US servers and my site is offshore but they are really good to their customers.
They're widely popular in the webhosting section of reddit. |
