I've found a great theme that I want to use, but the header is spoiled by the login and welcome box, is it possible to move it lower on the index page ?

I'm sure it is possible although if you move templates for it, then you may need a plugin to preregister the variables for use in that template.

Not really worth it then, especially as my coding skills are practically zero
