Is there a list of IP address ranges that are publicly available with which I can block IP's from eastern European or Asian countries. The subject matter of my forum does not need to be accessible by people in these countries, and I'd like to block them.

Surely, there must be an existing, tested, recognized list of such IP's (including ranges and wildcards!) that I could include in the vBulletin 'Banned IP Addresses' text area.

Use this website to generate the desired .htaccess file:

Since I'm running on a shared server, I don't think my hosting provider (Arvixe) will allow me to update the htaccess file.

Is there another way?
or - is this it?

I use shared hosting too

Just make a .htaccess file in your forum root directory!
