I need some tag placement help
I did (or am trying to do) this modification on vB 4.2.0:
https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=170238 I can't seem to get the bottom cell to extend down over the 'Thanked X Times in X Posts' field. I would sure appreciate it if someone could look at my tag placement and help me out. In Post Thank You Hack's post_thanks_postbit_info, I have: Code:
<vb:if condition="$post['userid']"> <div class="postinfo_thanks"><dt>{vb:rawphrase post_thanks_thanks}</dt> <dd>{vb:raw post.post_thanks_user_amount_formatted}</dd></div> <div class="postinfo_thanked"><vb:if condition="$post['post_thanks_thanked_times'] == 1"> <dd style="white-space:nowrap; display:inline; float: {vb:stylevar left};">{vb:rawphrase post_thanks_time_post}</dd> <vb:elseif condition="$post['post_thanks_thanked_posts'] == 1" /> <dd style="white-space:nowrap; display:inline; float: {vb:stylevar left};">{vb:rawphrase post_thanks_times_post, {vb:raw post.post_thanks_thanked_times_formatted}}</dd> <vb:else /> <dd style="white-space:nowrap; display:inline; float: {vb:stylevar left};">{vb:rawphrase post_thanks_times_posts, {vb:raw post.post_thanks_thanked_times_formatted}, {vb:raw post.post_thanks_thanked_posts_formatted}}</dd></else> </vb:if> </div> </vb:if> Code:
.postinfo { border-top: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-left: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-right: solid 1px #D7D7D7; border-bottom: solid 1px #D7D7D7; margin: 3px 0px; padding: 2px; color: #AA7025; background: #FAFAFA; font-size: 10px; } .postinfo_thanks { border-top: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-left: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-right: solid 1px #D7D7D7; border-bottom: solid 1px #D7D7D7; margin: 3px 0px; padding: 2px; color: #AA7025; background: #FAFAFA; font-size: 10px; } .postinfo_thanked { border-top: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-left: solid 1px #E0E0E0; border-right: solid 1px #D7D7D7; border-bottom: solid 1px #D7D7D7; margin: 3px 0px; padding: 2px; color: #AA7025; background: #FAFAFA; font-size: 10px; } Then, of course, in postbit_legacy I have the necessary references to .postinfo in additional.css. Any guidance will be much appreciated! |

Would you consider a link to your site? I'm terrible with CSS but you can experiment with it with Chrome's (or other browsers') developer tools

Well, right now the site is blocked from the public Internet... there's no way to access it unless your IP is exempted in the server's filter rules. Only a few of the admins currently have access to it. I'm terrible with CSS too, obviously. But I'm fairly sure the directives in additional.css are correct. I suspect the problem is with the </div> tag placement in post_thanks_postbit_info, but there may also be something which should be included in the code that's not. I'm just hoping someone can tell me what that 'something' might be and/or where I've gone wrong on the tag placement.

Well, just to experiment try adding "overflow-y:hidden;" to the css for the <div> and you might try setting "display:block" for the <dd> style, but the latter is just a wild guess
