Upgrade from 4.0 to 4.2 Stalled for over an hour
Upgrade from 4.0 to 4.2 Stalled for over an hour.
I am at 4% Step 7 of 17 in upgrading to 4.03 I have been at this marker for about an hour. I know it said to be patient, but an hour seems a little long for 1 step. Should I wait, or restart the upgrade? Thanks! Kim |

Now I am on
Status: Processing 4.0.8, Step 5 of 16 The current step may take a long time to complete. Please be patient. 15 Minutes, and waiting LOL. How long is a long time do you suppose? --------------- Added [DATE]1362039694[/DATE] at [TIME]1362039694[/TIME] --------------- after 35 minutes, I restarted again. I hope that step was done, I will post if there are issues once the upgrade is all done. --------------- Added [DATE]1362041658[/DATE] at [TIME]1362041658[/TIME] --------------- Update is complete, there seem to be no issues caused from restarting the upgrade! |

It will not cause problems if you restart it will just carry on to the next step. The problem could be a slow host or your Internet is slow. If it stops and hangs for more than 3 mins then I would restart the install

Most likely you have a php timeout. If you looked at your error_logs, you would see that happen. Refreshing the browser is fine when that happens.
