iframe in articles
Hello there,
I would like to add an iframe code inside a specific article. The source of the item inside the iframe is from another website. I noticed that when i am putting inside the iframe an item, which is hosted in my website (e.g. swf file) does work. But, when I am trying something else from a different domain, it doesn't. Could help in that? Thank in advance! John |

From what i understand the websites you are trying to use has to allow it's use, if they dont it will not work.
In other words they can stop you from using it if they wish, try a website like google and see if it works, if it does than you will know the other site is blocking you. |

It has to be specifically blocked or redirected somehow, otherwise, any URL will display in an iframe. What are you putting as the src URL?

Quote:
Title- Call it whatever you want BBCode Tag: whatever Replacement: Code:
<vb:literal> <iframe src="{param}" style="width:120px; height:240px;" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0"</iframe></vb:literal> Code:
[whatever]http://insertyourlinktowhateverpageyouwantintheiframehere.com[/whatever] Button Image: None Remove Tag if empty: yes Disable BB Code Within This BB Code: yes Disable Smilies Within This BB Code: yes Disable Word Wrapping Within This BB Code: no Disable Automatic Link Parsing Within This BB Code:no Save Then, go to your article page, write your into to the site if you have one and to display your iframe simply type in: Code:
[whatever]http://insertyourlinktowhateverpageyouwantintheiframehere.com[/whatever] As was mentioned in previous posts, some website owners disable your ability to frame their sites and unless the site you are framing is your own, you need to ask their permission before framing it. |

Well, as he's pointed out, he already knows how to use an iframe and has used one successfully. He's just not able to get certain content to work.
Just as clarification, you don't actually need to ask permission, as if it's a law of any kind. Any website that doesn't allow it will already point that out, or use a JavaScript redirect. Video sources, too, will pretty much already be blocked or they'll note that they don't allow embedding. |
