Weird Search issue
<a href="http://FORUM.com/search.php?do=finduser&userid=102&contenttype=vBFo rum_Post&showposts=1" target="_blank">http://FORUM.com/search.php?do=findu...st&showposts=1</a>
When i go to this link I should see the history of that particular users posts. He has made posts, but the forum reports nothing found. This also is happening with latest started threads. Any ideas why this is happening? thanks |

In the forum manager, each forum has a "Index New Posts in Search Engine" setting, so this has to be "yes" or a search won't find any posts in that forum. Also, under Settings > Options > Message Searching Options, if you have "Queue Search Updates" set to Yes, the posts will not appear in search results until the updates are processed by the "Search Queue Updates" scheduled task (which by default runs every 10 minutes), so make sure that task is enabled.

Well all those settings are already applied.
But I think what happened is that I was trying to check on the posts of a new member. I think the Search Queue Updates task maybe hadn't run since he made his new posts. Thanks for your help kh99. Much appreciated. |
