It was working fine yesterday. all of a sudden a DB connection issue has started at
forums.gabfirethemes.com

I did not receive any email saying forums s down, so can't really provide any error message. What might be the path to follow in order to solve that issue?

ask your hosts to see if mysql is up and running, check your /includes/config.php isn't corrupt and still holds the correct database name, username and password.

Is it shared hosting or your own server?

I believe MySql is up because the other scripts on same server works fine. I mean there are some instance of WordPress installation and they do run fine.

config.php file seems to be correct as well, I just deleted and added same user back and all seems to be working (:
