There is a tool called Impex you get access to after you purchase vBulletin. It allows you to import from various forums. Users will need to reset their passwords/
https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/impex However the MyBB importer is Tier 2 so it may have bugs. Best would be to search to find if anyone else reported a successful import from your specific mybb version. |

Hey,
I imported MyBB 1.6.5 to vBulletin 4.2.0 just a few days ago, and everything went perfect. (even though MyBB says it only supports 1.4.x, but 1.6.5 works too). Good luck. |

Thank you "BirdOPrey5" and "EpicurusRSPS"
My forum currently is 1.6.4. It is asking for update to 1.6.9. Should I update and then start converting to vb or should I convert to vb with 1.6.4? |

I would stick with 1.6.4 to convert.

Agree with final kaoss, stay with 1.6.4 if you will move to VB.

I'd suggest to convert your forum with some automated tool, like cms2cms. It moved my forum data perfectly and really fast (just 20mins), but it doesn't keep the users' password I had to mail them to inform about the switch. |
