Category Box Box?

Hey everyone.

I've been searching for a mod to do this, but I have had little luck in finding one, or perhaps one has escaped my attention. Basically, I am wondering if there is a mod for 4.2.x that basically allows me to convert my theme from the typical forum layout to some sort of category/forum boxes. Examples:

http://www.dirtnapgaming.com/community/ (Runs IPB, but a good reference)
http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/ (Running VB 3.8.x I believe)

If I would need to have something style-wise, I wouldn't have the foggiest clue on what to do, but if there was a mod I have missed I'd be super grateful. Thanks guys.
