Impex Problems
Hi everyone i have only just joined vbulletin but having nothing but problems. I am trying to convert from IPB to Vbulletin and believe it or not i have been sat here for over five hours trying to get away from this error:

For the conversion to go smoothly you will have to install vb in the same db as that of the Ipb forum or at least make sure that the db users have full access/permissions to the other databases. i.e. ipb db user has full access to the vb db and vice versa. |

Thank you so much for your reply, i have asked so many people about this and you seem to be the only one with a possible answer to this.
In answer to your post, yes i have setup my new vbulletin in a different database. So do i need to reinstall and set the database the same as my old forum? |

It doesnt matter if they are in separate db's or in one single db.
The main concern is that the credentials in the impex config file are correct. Source = IPB Target = VB The credentials for each db have to be correct, host, user, pass & prefix |

Yeah they are all correct to even convince me they were right i asked my host to check and he confirmed they are fine.
