Can I do further modifications once a new skin has been installed?
Hi,
I bought my vbulletin software just last week, host has been sorted out. Since then I have felt a little lost but I have been trying to get to grips with a few things. I have seen a skin that I would like but from looking at a few mods on here, once I have installed that skin there are still further things that I would like to do, such as install the thank you hack, etc etc. Will this make things problematic or can I only do modifications on the orginal vbulletin skin? So basically I just want to know that even with a new skin installed, I can still do further modifications on the site? Thank you & Merry Christmas. |

Yes, skins and products/plug-ins are in different categories and should not effect each other. Images however, you may need to do some editing with.

*Except* is the mod is using str_replace to add code into a template, and the style has modified that code, then the str_replace will not work. You can always add the template code manually, or change the str_replace code though.
Best thing to do is set up a test site (articles here and on vb.com in the articles section) and try this out there first so you know. |
