Database Error for forum access
I'm fairly new at vbulletin and I'm getting a database error when trying to access the vbulletin board from the "message board" link on the front page of the website.
The error that is generated is; Database error in vBulletin : mysql_connect() [<a href='function.mysql-connect'>function.mysql-connect</a>]: Access denied for user 'tpcprimarysite'@'184.168.193.114' (using password: YES) /home/content/16/10160916/html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 311 My webhost has checked the connection strings between the database and the php files and they say that it is fine. What happened is that the website and forum didn't auto-new like how it was setup on GoDaddy's site, and when the website and forum got suspended, I lost the old database name, username, and password. The previous webadmin had set that all up, and I didn't know what it was or how to find it. Anyway, I created a new database with a different database name, username, and password on the webhost site. Those new names are listed exactly in the new config.php file for the forum in my hosting details section. Is vbulletin connected to the .php files with the login credentials any place other than on the config.php file? How can I find out what the login credentials were that was setup from the original vbulletin setup for the forum - running 3.7.2? I hope that someone more knowledgeable than I can help point me in the right direction ASAP so I can get the forum back up and running soon. Thank you very much. |
