Very basic question

I'm new to the whole vBulletin thing and learning as I go along. Not a huge deal as my site isn't very big and probably won't get very big due to the very specific nature of user it is aimed at.

My question is about new members. Some of the new registrations appear in the 'List Users Awaiting Moderation' tab of the 'Search For Users' window, while others by-pass this area and simply appear in the 'List New Users' tab. And when I approve them, I have no idea if they've been sent a confirmation email regarding their registration.

Sorry if this is a stupidly simple question, but it isn't simple for me!

Yes, I'm approving them according to the proper way. My issue is that they're not getting into the 'Users Awaiting Moderation' area in the first place. They don't show up there, they show up in the users list instead, and then I HAVE to change them to the 'Registered Users' list manually because they never get into the proper area in the first place.

Are you sending every new registration?

If you also have email confirmation turned on, then I believe they don't appear in the 'Users Awaiting Moderation' area until they click the link in the email.
