I also noticed the forum calander only goes to 2009, anyway to fix this?

I don't know about the new posts problem, but for this I think you just need to go to the Calendar Manager, edit your calendar(s), and set the Date Range.

Have you gone to admincp>maintainance>update counters and run the counter updates?
