Custom Reply / Threaded View

Hello
Im looking for a module, or a way to customize the threaded view to show replies in an indented / nested layout so that its more obvious which quoted reply is responding to which thread post.
something like a threaded blog comment view. something like the way blogger.com formats threaded comments. example: http://www.thesimplexdesign.com/2012...d-comment.html

Ive done quite a bit of searching through this forum and other sites, but havent seen any mention of anything related.

any help appreciated.
