CMS article settings default values

[UK CHI3F]

I am having troubel changing the default settings for my cms articles.

I need to have only the titel and short preview on my front page and would like theis set as default when creating an article.
When someone clicks on the article i would like the author, date etc all displayed.

I understand i need to change settings in:
vbcms_edit_publisher

which is below but i dont know what to change, when i did change bits it made no difference.

Please help with anything you can, Thanks
