But when posting a new message, it still shows a broken image and the path is:

that is a smilie face, I want it to have NO ICON if I didn't specify one, how to do that?

Show Default Post Icon
If you would like to use a default icon for messages without an icon, enter the path to the image here.

Change that in your admincp vbulletin options.
