Hey everyone,
I am looking for something that sounds pretty easy, since I've seen some awesome advanced vb'ers around here. Here's what I'm looking to do: I'm looking to remove the forums part of my vbulletin... I only want it so that people can register an account, and use the profile feature of this amazing software. So that people can have a profile to upload images to and message people. Nothing fancy, but rather simple like that... I can look into how to make the homepage revert to like a custom page that doesn't use the forums but allows the searching/indexing of users. Please can anyone help me? -Saved0ne |

Hi, where would this need to be? All I want to do is basically remove the forum and use it as a profile website... very basic obviously, just to have the following:
Profile images Albums Comments (though this may just not be necessary) Messaging |

The forum is the core product and can't be deactivated. With a lot of work you may be able to cloak it and remove all links to it from the profile, but you can't get rid of it.

Anyway that I might be able to hide it all or something to be able to do that?

You would have to go through the templates and remove anything that references the forums, including search, and you would have to add a plugin somewhere that blocks all pages you don't want to be accessible against direct access. You may be able to even remove files like forumdisplay.php or showthread.php. You really just have to try.
