Urgent ... style problem need advice

I bought an original skin from

and when i installed the skin it did not work properly
i contacted then several times and gave them my FTP and Admincp accounts
and still no solution ,,,

their styles working in their forum .. but in me is not good ...

Is it the (vBulletin 4.2.0 Patch Level 2) problem ... ?

They gave me the XML folder containing the (forum) (blog) (cms) files
I uploaded the forum files only i didnt use the blog and cms ...

fyi...I would be careful who you give your FTP and Admin passwords to. By doing so you gave them the keys to your entire system. They can modify templates, files, widgets, security settings, etc. They could even lock you out of your own site.

It always amazes me how quickly people are willing to give out passwords and account information to total strangers on line. I always tell my kids that you only have the characters going across your computer screen to go by when dealing with people on line.

I've purchased a number of skins and mods for my site and several times I've been asked for passwords so the vendor could review the site whenever I have an issue. I always decline their request.

I should add that whenever I purchase a skin or mod online I use a prepaid Walmart money card that I use exclusively for online purchases. This way if someone steals the card info they can only use the money that's currently on the card and I only put money on the card to cover a pending purchase so most of the time the card balance is zero. It also eliminates the possibility of anyone stealing my bank information as the card is not tied to any bank account.

In what way didn't the style work correctly? Was it made for vB4.2.0?

You are still not telling us exactly what you mean by it not working. Are the images not showing? Is the style messed up? What exactly isn't working? And can we get a link to see it?
