Need help, forum keeps getting hacked
My forum 4.2.0 keeps getting hacked. I'm not sure what to do at this point. My forum.php is showing a hacked screen. How can I get help?

If you haven't changed any of the core files then upload a fresh set of files via ftp in ASCii mode with overwrite, youdon't need to upload the images folder, then follow these links:

Well, The issue can be server side also.
May be the hacker has hacked one of the other cpanel acocunt in the server, Thus he can easily access your website by symlinking. (Regardless how secure your vbulletin site is) Can you also try changing the database login password + Setting CHMOD 640 for config.php file ? Also let your hosting provider knows this. They are also responsible for the security. Regards. |
