[img] automatic resizing?

I have a lot of images being posted on my new site, and would like a way to automatically thumbnail the images posted with bbcode to a more respectable size. I've tried searching for a solution, and all i have found is an outdated hack. Someone please help

Much thanks,
Shawn.
