Multiple 'Thread Owners'
Is it possible or has a modification been created which allows for multiple users to have owner permissions on a thread?
For example: User05 posts a clan related thread, along with him User 02 is an owner of the clan too, is there a way User 02 could also edit the thread as if he posted it even though User05 did? I don't want them to be able to moderate the whole section, just able to modify selected threads. vBulletin Version: 4.2.0 |

For a forum that is supposed to specialize in vBulletin modifications.. I'm not getting much feedback here..

No modification that I know of, and would be possible of course but would need a decent addon to do it.
Just to note, with a post like the above your not likely to get people to answer you. A simple "Anyone know how to do this?" to bump the thread would do. The forum is not what specialises in vbulletin modifications, its the people who post on it and that kinda thing is not likely to promote helpful response. I have answered only because in fairness it has been a fair while since you asked the question. |

OK here goes.
The way I can see going around this is to create moderation based on prefixes. Therefore you could prefix with "x clan" tag and with access to moderate "x clan" would be able to moderate that item (ie. edit, move, delete etc etc etc) First of all, is this the kinda scenario you are after? If thats the case, I cant see it being a small task to be honest. The answer to your question is of course it can be done, however given the response you havent had at present its not likely to be something you are going to get done for free. Therefore it would depend on what you are willing to pay as to whether someone would take up the job. |

Why not allow groups to edit threads in a particular forum, this is one way around it but may take a while to setup.

Ya, vb allows micromanagement of forum permissions, but what a pain - especially as staff changes.
I would just copy the Moderators group and name it "A Clan" and give them permissions in A Clan forum. Repeat with B Clan. Then you only have to promote certain users to the A Clan or B clan user groups (or both). |
