Images not displaying in posts after upgrade to 4.2 PL2
After an upgrade of my vBulletin from 4.0.3 to 4.2.0 PL2 I've noticed that the vast majority (not all) of the images in Posts are now not being displayed directly in the Posts. You have to click on the 'name.jpg' to get the image to display.
All the images are .jpg and all have been attached, in Posts, in the same way. Has anyone experienced this? Could anyone give me a resolution please? Kind regards, |

Try Maintenance > General Update Tools > Rebuild Attachment Thumbnails and see if that fixes the issue. If not, please provide a link to a showthread page with the problem and provide a test username/password if needed to see the problem.

Many thanks for that information Lynne, I think I'm one step closer to resolving the problem.
After following your instructions the problem images are now displayed in posts, you no longer have to click on a 'name.jpg' to view each image. However, even though the images are displaying in the posts, they are only displaying at thumbnail size. Prior to the upgrade all the images were displayed at their full size in the posts. Is there a way to retrun these thumbnail sized images back to their original sizes in the posts please? I don't really want to have to click on each image to enlarge it. |

Check AdminCP > Settings > Options > message attachment options > View Attached Images Inline. What do you have that set to?

Many thanks Lynne, all is fine now. It was set to "Yes, full size, but only if post has only one attachment". I've changed this to "Yes, full size". The upgrade must have altered this setting. Anyway, every image is displayed full size in the posts now, just how they were, how I want them. |
