Show guests only the first post in every thread

Hi there,
for 3.X there used to be a mod that would show guests only the first post in every thread.
Is something similar possible or even available for 4.x?
I would really like this a lot.

Thanks in advance for any help or information! If this can be done via a template edit, I would be very thankful to anyone who can point me in the right direction of how to do it myself.
