resize left side of Control Panel column

Hi,

1- I would like to add the size of left side of Control Panel column so that the words come in one line , not two.




2- the style I use doesn't recognize and separate notes and hyperlinks, notice the following image:


note is a word without link , but hyperlink has a link along with it, I prefer these two to be distinguishable, please advise
