How to delete forum section in a big forum database?
Hi all,
I have an ultra huge forum database with thousands of threads per forum section. I want to remove a few forum sections but it is ultra slow and crashes. I even tried prune a batch of threads but it still crashes and lags the server. Is there a way to delete a certain forum section without it crashing? Can this be done via myphpadmin? or will it be a hassles because of counters and so many affected tables? I could pay someone to delete each thread manually but this would take them a few days Please help, thanks. |

I've never had to do that, but if you have a busy site you might want to try scheduling a time for the site to be down, then try it with the site closed.

No, I've closed the site down, but when deleting say, 20 threads at a time, it is still taking a while.
