Different sidebars for different forum categories? Is this possible?
My site is legalhelp (dot) org
I have various forum categories like family law, criminal law, etc... Is it possible to have different sidebars on the right displayed depending on what category it is? |

It isn't possible without some sort of mod, and I searched the existing mods for "sidebar" and didn't find anything like that. But it seems like something that could be done. I'm going to think about it (unless someone else wants to take it on).
Edit: Oh...actually, the sidebar normally only shows on the forum home page, so it doesn't make sense to have different bars for different categories (does it?). There are a couple of mods that enable the sidebar on different pages, maybe you could ask the author of one of those if they can add that feature. |

If you used a mod to add a sidebar to all your forumdisplay pages, I don't see why you couldn't add a PHP Forum Block that has conditions in it regarding the forumid and spits out different content for each forum.
