I know there is a mod available on vbulletin.org but i am not looking to use it.

I would prefer to add under style -> navbar

I can get it added, but it shows up on the left, I want it to be on the far right.

So you added something directory to the navbar template? If you want it on the right, did you add it as the last <li> of the navtab list?
