How to import Thank Yous
When merging two vB 4.x forums and using Impex there does not seem to be an option to import the thank yous (Thank You Hack) from the source forum.
Does anyone know how to import the thank yous? |

From which software do you want to import thank-you-database?

Is it in a separate table? Or in the threads table? Or the post table? You haven't really told us much about exactly what field needs to be imported so we can suggest what file you modify.

Lynne, I'll admit that on my own forums it's a source of great frustration for me when members ask questions and don't put them in the right context. I therefore try to avoid doing that myself when I am posting elsewhere.
However, I thought that as the Thank You hack is a common hack, there must be others who've had this problem of the vBulletin Impex code not importing ThankYou data. Quote:
post_thanks seems to be one relevant table (I don't know if there are others being used by this hack). Quote:

Probably the best thing to do then is to ask about this in the Thank You hack mod thread. I have never installed the thank you hack and have no idea what the structure is like. If it is just the post_thanks table, then you could probably import the contents from that when you are importing the users since that table probably has the userid in there. However, you need to know if there are other fields also in order to be able to do this. So, I'd suggest asking in the modification thread about this.

Thanks, Lynne, I'll do that.
