CMS Permissions Not Working
I am having problems with my permission settings not taking effect. It saves the changes and reflects them with each check box, but the only permission set that says "Permissions set" is my "News" section. The others still say "Permissions not assigned for this section"
Please help and thank you in advance! -Reni |

Yeah, I'm having the same problem. I seem to recall there was some kind of master switch for turning on custom permissions buried under some cheese factory setting (random arbitrary place no one would look). However, it's been 2 miserable years since I switched to vbcms and don't remember how for my test server.

AdminCP> Vbulletin CMS> Permissions - set permissions for each section
ALSO AdminCP> Usergroups> Usergroup Manager> Click on Each Usergroup there as well to give permission to View Forum & Thread Content. Also, it helps to dump the CMS cache as you may be reloading the cached page with the old permissions settings. |
