Modification of "I Like It"
There are some comments that I get and I would like to attach a publicly viewable note onto those posts.
I would rather not edit their posts, nor edit their signatures. I'd like to add a comment inside of a special box somewhere inside of that person's post. The blue box that apparently appears with the comment "the following member likes this post:" is perfect in both location and color, if only it could be somehow written into a mod that allows a moderator/admin to write what he wants to in the box, and do so without going into the control panel. Please see posts 26 and 27 on this thread: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...=256383&page=2) to see the blue box. Thank you for all your help. Best, FP |

We just used a template_hook to add the text into that area of the post.

I see.
I'm by no means a coder. I have basic HTML skills only. How hard would it be to make a hook or modify a hook to do the kind of thing I'm looking for? To be honest with you, I've never modified or made a hook, I looked up what a hook is just now. Is there a lot of coding involved in making hooks? I don't think I have the skills for it. Thank you. |
