Default Facebook App and Page Integration (page not working, app is)

I've finally got my new facebook app fully working with the forum, and it looks fantastic!

However, I've added my app to our FB page, but it displays as white - IE there is no app on the page itself, even though you can see the tab.

I assume this is something to do with the page url - which must be different to the canvass url. But being new to apps and facebook, I thought I should find out if anyone has successfully linked their page and vBulletin App together and can advise a rookie on how to do so.

To see what I mean,

my app: http://apps.facebook.com/truesainters

the page (not working) http://www.facebook.com/truesainters...37754862924213

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That's a real pain that, to spend all that money and it won't integrate with a page. You'd think that would be one of the most important features of the app.

So does anyone know of a workaround? I assume you might have to do your own php file and upload it to get it working. Don't suppose anyone has created that kind of plugin?

Just going to re-post my post in the vb.com thread - https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...=1#post2260533

I have managed like most above to get the app on a tab on my page but when I click the tab I get a blank page.

On the setting for the app you are inputting the url's of where the app is hosted on your servers, this is the tab url and secure tab url but if you goto those pages directly I (and I am guessing also you) are getting a blank page.

So basically the instructions on this thread to put your app into the tab are incorrect.

The only ways I can see of achieving this is to either iFrame the app url with FBML (Which will not be supported after June I think) or to just link directly to the app on facebook.

The first option is a quick resolve which will need to be looked at again in the near future but it should work and the second is not really a resolve to this as we all want the apps on our fan pages.

QUESTION TO VB Team - Can the app be developed so it works from the base url? ie where the files are app files hosted on our servers? if it can then great we have a resolve to this problem, if not (and I can see the problems why) then we do not have a resolve and the app will not work as well as we all thought it would.

Not having the app on our main facebook pages is hugely disappointing.
If you are interested my FB page is - www.Facebook.com/TheSnookerForum ( For the Americans Snooker <------ Its like pool but harder )
App page - https://apps.facebook.com/forumsnook...ory=Newest_All

Little suggestion while I am here, some forum stats on the apps main page would be nice, number of registered users, posts threads etc....

Is your app hosted on the other https enabled host outside of your main vBulletin site or you have dedicated certificate for your domain?

In my case app is hosted on the other https enabled host.

In the app settings, under Page Tab, enter the URL to the facebook app files hosted on your site rather than the facebook app link itself and it will work.

I.e. if you uploaded your php files to mysite.com/app, link to that rather than apps.facebook.com/myapp

The only problem I'm seeing now is that the app is wider than the space provided on the facebook page itself, but when you click on any link, it goes to a new window so it's definitely better than nothing

This is driving me nuts too. I've tried removing the tab several times, re-adding it, etc. I still end up with a white page when clicking on the tab.
