Default vBulletin Database Error!
Can anyone help me out? I have been getting alot of errors lately... this is the recent one. Any help would be appreciated as I dont know what it means..

Is your database on the same server as your forum? That error usually happens when one cannot contact the database server. If the database server is on the same physical hardware as the forum, then make sure that it is configured as "localhost" and not the external or LAN internal IP address.

Yah I use godaddy for my hosting and everything is on the same server.

How would I check what it is configured as?

Kinda off topic, but why have it so guests can't read Threads on your site?

That kind of thing puts me off from even thinking about registering on Forums.

Just the same thing you posted here, that you're getting that error. And don't let them tell you that there's an error in your software, tell them you already contacted vbulletin support (even thought that's not exactly true ). (Unless they want you to change something in the config.sys - that's OK of course).

Yah just called in to Godaddy, they really weren't any help. They said the SQL connection was working fine, they weren't sure why it would have lost connection..
