How to stop this type spammers

Hello friends i am running a entertainment forum. some one is registering daily and posting the similar thread 20 to 30 times. daily i am banning him and he was doing similarly also i have banned IPaddress but he was using proxies. pls help me

Have you tried vbstopforumspam if its a know spammer then there ip would be blocked

also have you recaptcha installed ? this will slow them down
how many members do you have joining ?
if not many and your around frequently then try moderating new members so they cant post till permission granted

You could try using "question and answer" human verification, with some simple questions. I believe there are bots that can get past the captcha. But if it's a human, there's not much you can do. You could moderate new registrations, moderate posts of new users, you could require email verification (if you aren't already), you can ban certain email domains.

Thats what I did and it pretty much stopped everything.

What you need is Prevent Forum Spam by Adrian Schneider. It was developed for 3.6x but users on vb4 are saying that it works fine. Stops spammers in their tracks and it wastes their time and effort in posting

3. have you tried this program yet https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=268208 it will allow you to ban his host so does not matter if he changes his ip
