User post count going down?

I have had a couple people complain about their post count going down significantly. I personally lost nearly a third of mine.

Nothing has been deleted manually. I dont believe old posts are being pruned, as one of the users is relatively new and older members haven't been hit yet.

Is this a known bug? Any setting that could be changed to prevent this from happening?
