section articles not on front page
My site has 4 sections... One of those sections I want in the side section navbar, but I don't want the articles to appear on the front page. How do I make that happen? I've tried a bunch of different options and it's not obvious to me...
--------------- Added [DATE]1325695511[/DATE] at [TIME]1325695511[/TIME] --------------- Hmm, getting closer... I could make it a section all it's own, but when I try to make a new section it goes under my global parent... Help! |

You can manually select the articles that go in a section. You can also set it so articles from sub-sections are not included.

I saw how I could exclude sub-sections from the master, but I want 3 out of the 4 sub-sections to show up on the front page.
Maybe it's easier to show this, on my home page: http://www.homenetworkenabled.com I want just the Reviews, Press Releases, and DIY articles to show as articles on the front page. The "Articles I've written for other sites" section I want articles to show in that section only and not on the front page at all. |

There isn't an option to show some sub-sections and not others. You may be able to write a plugin, but I haven't really looked into it. The other option is to always put older publishing dates on those articles so that they never show up on the main page since they are all older than the other articles.
