I was wondering if it was at all possible, on a site that consists of a php-nuke portal with a vbulletin msg board, to make a hack where a person registered on php-nuke would also be automatically registered on vbulletin, without them having to register manually on both the portal and the msg board. And if at all possible make them unable to register on vbulletin by itself, or when they click to register on vbulletin it routes them to the registration page of php-nuke, where they can register on php-nuke, then automatically be registered on vbulletin too.

I ask this because it would make the whole page have more of a community feel, where all the logins and passwords would be the same for each person, and they would not have to go through the hassle of multiple registrations.

I dont think so, at least not without a good bit of script hacking so that the user fields would match up, plus there is the automated password thing with php-nuke, where it makes up your password.

let me say my idea;

we know that we can phpnukes password property..

and so we put these codes;

1)in to phpnuke's user reg form;

firstly connect the both phpnukes db and vBs db to check if the user exist; if not;

connect to phpnukes db to add new user and then connect the vb's db to make new user..

2)in to vB's user reg form

same as at phpnuke...

i think this will work...

any idea?
