Is there any issue from deleting Forum: vBCms Comments

The "vBCms Comments" appears to be completely useless, so i'm wondering the best way to get around it.

1. If i just simply delete the "vBCMS Comments" forum section, will articles go away also.?
2. Will i be able to promote articles still.?
3. If i do delete that section, what effect will it have on current articles.? (will comments only be affected.?)
4. Will the "Read More" just be a dead link.? (im fine with that, but not sure why it doesn't link to actual post)
5. Also why do threads come back automatically after i delete them in the vBCms Comments section.?

I'd like to just do the most simple thing, & not add a bunch of mods, but also would rather have it work, then not.
